SWYCH - Making the Wychwoods Sustainable
We are a very new group based in the Wychwoods (set up in October 2008). We are concerned with issues surrounding climate change and the impact that will have on our community.
Our long term aim is to encourage community members to set up a wide variety of projects covering areas such as recycling, green energy, carbon footprint reduction, transport, etc.
We have successfully run two Swap Shops and a Green Fair. We are planning the next Swap Shop for September
We are currently setting up a project to lend out energy meters to the community and we are involved with helping to make the Milton Fete as green and sustainable as possible.
If you have a particular idea for a project that would improve the sustainablity of the Wychwood area or if you are just interested in these issues, please come along to one of our monthly meetings.
